Top | | In late 2024, Governor DeWine signed Senate Bill 109 into law, which enables the State Medical Board of Ohio to hold licensees accountable when they engage in sexual misconduct or commit sexual crimes. SB 109 took effect beginning March 21, 2025 and makes many changes to Ohio law of which PAs should be aware. |
| | AHRQ is currently recruiting acute care hospital units for a free 9-month program to implement and improve evidence-based practices for prevention of central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSI). Units will receive training and one-on-one expert coaching to implement sustainable improvements to their infection prevention practices. |
| | The Ohio Department of Health (ODH) is seeking nominees to serve on the Palliative Care and Quality of Life Interdisciplinary Council, which was created in 2019 to “Consult with and advise the (ODH) director on matters related to the establishment, maintenance, operation, and evaluation of palliative care initiatives in this state” and related purposes. Self-nominations are due April 30, 2025. |
