Join Team OAPA in Building Community and Celebrating Inclusion!
Participate in the Community Festival and Walk for the Diversity Center of NE Ohio on May 9
The OAPA Student Affairs and Diversity Committees are collaborating on a community engagement project this spring aiming to celebrate diversity in healthcare through participation in the Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio's Community Festival and Walk.
This free, family-friendly walk will take place on May 9th, 2026, at the Great Lakes Science Center in Cleveland, with a virtual participation opportunity also available so that PAs across the state can join Team OAPA!
Fundraising is not required, but any funds raised support the work done by the Diversity Center, including:
- Equipping students and educators with skills to lead with empathy and understanding
- Strengthening workplaces and organizations through inclusive leadership and dialogue
- Fostering community connection across lines of identity, experience, and belief
The Diversity Center states "This walk is a reminder that progress is collective—and that meaningful change happens when we move forward together."
We invite you to celebrate diversity with us by engaging in the 2026 Community Festival and Walk, no matter where in Ohio you reside.
