OAPA is proud to join the PA community in Ohio and across the nation in celebrating PA Week 2026.

Throughout the week, we are featuring PAs from around the state and sharing updates on our website and social media. We’re also reaching out to nonmember PAs, encouraging them to get involved and join our growing community. A stronger, more connected PA network in Ohio brings us closer to our shared vision - making Ohio the premier state for PAs.

PA Week Profile of the Day: Gloria M. Stewart, EdD, PA-C Emeritus

Gloria Stewart Headshot RoundGloria graduated from Alderson-Broaddus College in Medical Science in 1986 and received her initial NCCPA certification on January 20, 1987. She has returned to the role of Program Director at Marietta College, where she was also the founding Program Director! Her first class of 15 students started in 2002 and graduated in 2004. As a PA, Gloria has worked in the areas of family medicine, surgery, and urgent care, mainly in rural communities, including in West Virginia and South Dakota.

"One of the most rewarding parts of being a PA is knowing that I hopefully have influenced many students in becoming qualified, caring, and competent healthcare providers."

Gloria plans to celebrate PA Week as you might expect -- with her students!

Thanks for your devotion to PA education and rural health, Gloria, and Happy PA Week!
