JobDescription..... Position Details:
The Physician Assistant is responsible for assisting the supervising physician(s) within the supervising physician’s normal course of practice to provide quality care for patients and to increase patient access and satisfaction. Standard tasks to be performed by a physician assistant under Direct Supervision, On-Site Supervision, or Off-Site Supervision if specified by the Ohio State Medical Board includes:
Assess patients; Obtain comprehensive patient histories and perform physical exams; Order and perform routine diagnostic procedures; Develop and implement treatment plans; Monitor the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions; Provide instruction to meet patient needs;
Essential duties include:
• Provides safe, efficient age care to patients/families in order to assist them to attain, - maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.
• Implements advanced assessment of patient’s physical and psychosocial health/illness status and initiates care;
• Communicates and collaborates clearly and effectively to enhance patient care and facilitate unit operations
• Establishes plan of care and implements interventions
• Patient documentation.
• Actively participates in the quality improvement process
• Involved in learning regarding trends in case management.
• Provides interdisciplinary team patient care
• Initiates and maintains positive relationships with co-workers.
• Takes responsibility for self-development and supports a learning environment.
• Initiates and maintains positive relationships with patients/customers.
• Displays commitment to the mission of the hospital and its values.
• Assist in care of Suboxone patient clientele
• BLS/ACLS Certification
• Rx License
• NCCPA Certification
