Summary:
Assists resident staff physicians with clinical care. Participates in designated medical education activities and research studies by the Program Director of the Residency Training Program.
Formal Education Required:
-Education equivalent to completion of a formal Physicians/Surgical Assistant Program (board eligible).
Experience and Training Required:
-One (1) year experience as clinical associate in a surgical program.
Other Skills, Competencies and Qualifications:
-ACLS certification required during first year of employment.
-Population Specific Competency: ability to effectively interact with populations of patients/customers with an understanding of their needs for self-respect and dignity
