- Review the mechanism of action of pharmacotherapy agents for obesity management.
- Understand the expected weight loss associated with various pharmacotherapy agents and their most common side effects.
- Understand current Ohio Laws associated with weight loss medications.
Speaker Biographies:
Dr. Ebne Rafi graduated from pharmacy school from the University at Buffalo School of Pharmacy and then proceeded to do his residency through South Shore University Hospital and Buffalo Medical Group, both located in New York State.
With his training he specialized in endocrinology management in the inpatient and outpatient setting. He currently works as a board certified clinical pharmacist at the UH Diabetes and Metabolic Care Center in Cleveland Ohio where he manages patients under a collaborative practice agreement. He enjoys helping patients with diabetes and other endocrine disorders, and has published papers in diabetes and obesity management.
