OAPA Student Representative-Elect Nominations Open

The OAPA Board of Directors is now accepting applications for the Student Representative-Elect position. The Student Representative serves as a voting member of the Board of Directors after completing a one-year term as a non-voting Student Representative-Elect.

The Student Representative’s chief responsibility is to act as a point of contact between fellow students and colleagues and the Board of Directors. During Board meetings, this officer will be expected to be the strong voice who lobbies on behalf of the students they represent. This means that whoever holds this position must be a natural mediator who is in touch with the wishes and needs of the constituency. Sensitivity to delicate issues and a diplomatic personality are highly desired.

This volunteer position will require approximately 10-15 hours per month. Skills needed to successfully serve in this position include dedication, timeliness in completing projects, communication skills, delegation skills, initiative, self-directedness. To be eligible, a student must be enrolled in their first year/didactic year in an Ohio PA Program and be both an OAPA and AAPA member. The deadline for submission is May 7, 2024.
