CME Webinar: Weighing Your Options: A Review of Antiobesity Treatment Options

Join us for this virtual event and earn CME* as we hear from Emily Doycich, PharmD, BCPS, and Shanail Berry, M.D. on the topic of Weighing Your Options: A Review of Antiobesity Treatment Options.

During this session the speakers will review appropriate criteria for medical weight management, review current medications approved for weight loss, discuss other mediation considerations to aid a patient with their weight loss goals, and use patient case scenarios to apply this information.

By attending this webinar, participants will be able to:

  • Recognize the role of medications in the treatment of obesity
  • Discuss commonly prescribed medications that may cause weight gain or interfere with weight loss efforts
  • Select most appropriate medication choice for weight loss through patient case scenarios

Emily Doycich HeadshotEmily Doycich PharmD, BCPS

Dr. Emily Doycich is an Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Specialist at MetroHealth System and Assistant Professor at Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) College of Pharmacy. She graduated from the University of Findlay and completed her PGY1 residency at MetroHealth System in Cleveland, Ohio. Currently, Dr. Doycich is in a shared faculty role and practices within the family medicine clinics specializing in the treatment and management of chronic diseases. Her current practice includes care for patients with diverse backgrounds and varying socioeconomic needs. She enjoys getting to work closely with her patients and their care teams to provide a high level of care.

Dr. Shanail Berry Lampkin is a board-certified Internist, Pediatrician, and Obesity Medicine Specialist in Northeast Ohio. Working in a safety net hospital system, she provides evidence-based obesity medical care to patients of all socioeconomic classes and cultural backgrounds. She has been in practice for over 10 years and values the impact her work has on the lives of the patients she serves.
