“Life after the ICU: Addressing the Long Shadow of Critical Illness"

Learning Objectives:
- Recognize the signs and symptoms of Post-ICU Syndrome
- Identify those patients at risk and initiate preventative measures
- Apply treatment to patients with Post-ICU syndrome, from a pharmacological and non-pharmacological approach
Speaker Biography:
Laura Hart, PA-C, started her career in the ED in Coshocton, Ohio in 2006. From there, she went on to OhioHealth Mansfield ED for the next 17 years, also picking up PRN work in Ashland and Mt. Vernon. Laura currently works at UH Ashland Samaritan ED and PRN within the UH system in Elyria, Parma, Portage, and Ahuja. She holds a BA in Athletic Training from Anderson University, a BS in Physician Assistant studies from the University of Findlay, and a Masters in Physician Assistant studies from the University of Nebraska. She is currently finishing her Doctorate in Medical Science from Butler University.
